We are Goodwill Denver – we translate the good in the local community to programs and resources that change lives. While you might know us through our Denver thrift stores, we’re more than just a place for great deals – we have programs that improve our community and inspire hope, one person at a time.

Goodwill’s retail division is comprised of a network of 23 retail stores, 3 outlet worlds, 1 Goodwill Déjà Blue Boutique and 16 donation centers throughout metro Denver and northern Colorado. Profits from these retail stores, as well as donor contributions, fund Goodwill’s highly successful programs in workforce development. We help people find the tools to success at work and in life.

Receive the maximum tax deduction when you donate to one of our IRS recognized 501 (c)(3) charities or your favorite charity or church. Thousands of donors have taken advantage of the tax saving benefits of donating a car or vehicle through our program.

ALLOWABLE IRS CHARITABLE TAX DEDUCTION:

If the vehicle is sold for less than $500 you can claim the fair market value of your vehicle up to $500 or the amount it is sold for if less than fair market value.

If the vehicle sells for more than $500, you can claim the exact amount for which the vehicle is sold.

You will receive a receipt at the time your car or vehicle is sold (typically within 30 days) stating the exact amount of the sale.

Well, it goes beyond just car donation. Denver area residents can donate a wide variety of vehicles to Goodwill Denver. We'll even accept a motorcycle donation! Denver Goodwill will take your vehicle and turn it into cash that funds community programs. And to make that happen, we'll tow your car, ready it for sale and even notify you once it's sold so you can deduct the sale price on your taxes. You are allowed to deduct the gross proceeds Goodwill receives from the sale of your vehicle at auction. For vehicles with a claimed value greater than $500, Goodwill will provide you with written acknowledgment detailing the gross proceeds of the sale within 30 days of the vehicle being sold. For vehicles with a claimed value less than $500, the fair market value may be used for tax deduction purposes.
